Jail & Detention Facility Notary Services
LA Notary On Call provides mobile notary services for individuals in correctional and detention facilities throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas, subject to facility rules, scheduling, identification requirements, security procedures, access requirements, and California notary law.
Family members, attorneys, law firms, and other authorized persons may request coordination of a jail or detention facility notary appointment.
The facility visit/service fee starts at $200. Final pricing depends on the facility, location, distance, access and security requirements, anticipated waiting time, and circumstances of the appointment.
Applicable California notarial fees are separate from the facility visit/service fee.
Ordinary mobile travel-fee tiers are not automatically added to the facility visit fee, and jail appointment pricing is never calculated from mileage alone. Every jail or detention request receives individual review and a final quote from LA Notary On Call before confirmation.
Correctional and detention facilities control access, scheduling, security procedures and inmate availability. LA Notary On Call cannot guarantee that a facility will permit or complete a scheduled notary visit. Additional documentation, advance approval or coordination may be required by the facility.
Identification requirements for incarcerated signers may differ from ordinary appointments. California law contains specific provisions concerning qualifying inmate identification. Facility procedures and access requirements also apply.
