Jail & Detention Facility Notary — Starting at $200

Specialized facility visits subject to access, scheduling and facility requirements.

The facility visit/service fee starts at $200. Final pricing depends on the facility, location, distance, access and security requirements, anticipated waiting time, and circumstances of the appointment.

Applicable California notarial fees are separate from the facility visit/service fee.

Ordinary mobile travel-fee tiers are not automatically added to the facility visit fee, and jail appointment pricing is never calculated from mileage alone. Every jail or detention request receives individual review and a final quote from LA Notary On Call before confirmation.

A $50 jail appointment reservation deposit is requested only after your request is accepted and is credited toward the final quoted amount.

• The deposit is refundable if the appointment is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment and customer no-shows forfeit the reservation deposit.
• If LA Notary On Call cancels the appointment, the deposit will be refunded.
• If the appointment cannot proceed because of a facility lockdown, facility cancellation, inmate transfer or release, denial of access, or another circumstance outside the customer's and LA Notary On Call's reasonable control, LA Notary On Call will determine whether the appointment can be rescheduled or the deposit refunded based on the circumstances.

Correctional and detention facilities control access, scheduling, security procedures and inmate availability. LA Notary On Call cannot guarantee that a facility will permit or complete a scheduled notary visit. Additional documentation, advance approval or coordination may be required by the facility.

Reservation deposit — $15 Glendale / $25 mobile

• A reservation deposit is required after your appointment request is accepted: $15 for Glendale (come to us) appointments and $25 for mobile appointments. The deposit will be applied toward your final amount due.
• The deposit is refundable if the appointment is cancelled at least 4 hours before the scheduled appointment.
• Cancellations within 4 hours of the scheduled appointment and no-shows forfeit the deposit.
• If LA Notary On Call cancels the appointment, the deposit will be refunded.
• The deposit is not a California notarial fee. It is an appointment reservation deposit credited toward your final amount.
• For Glendale appointments, the exact address and arrival instructions are provided only after the deposit is received and the appointment is confirmed.

The deposit is arranged directly with LA Notary On Call after your request is accepted. No payment is collected on this website and no card details are ever stored.
